Holiness how far is too far?
« on: August 18, 2014, 07:49:13 AM »
Other christians like the Amish/mennonites or even other faiths that at least follow the old testament like the Orthodox/ultra Orthodox jews follow standards of holiness much higher then most Oneness pentecostals.GOD is getting a church ready and will move where he can. Does anyone think that maybe the groups I listed have the truth on holiness but have not accepted acts 2:38 yet and that the UPCI has the truth on acts 2:38 but not Holiness? How far is too far when it comes to holiness? I can't see how covering your face like the muslims do could be right but I do feel modesty is pretty much gone in most UPCI churches

Since they are not really Christians it doesn't matter how they live.  They will all die in their sins.

The UPCI is corrupt in many ways and many will be lost.

Obey Acts 2:38 to become a Christian.

I figured as much. I remember when I came into the truth at a UPCI church. teaching on long sleeves, no TV etc was not uncommon but sadly that same church today allows any kind of shirt, plays movies on youth nights and even sent the choir to a worship conference put on by a worldly man known for christian pop music. When I asked my pastor about the sliding standards I was told the times change and the church is not frozen in time. I still go to that church but get told I'm going overboard and causing discord etc. I could be wrong  but I will not lower my self just to fit in with all the other lukewarm ones around me.

Malachi 3:6 For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.

Psalms 119:89 LAMED. For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.

Sounds like you don't really have a pastor.
