Those who obey Acts 2:38 have both the flesh and Spirit of the One single God. They have both the 'Son' (flesh) and the Spirit (Father) of the ONE GOD named "Jesus".
Acts 19:10 And this continued by the space of two years; so that all they which dwelt in Asia heard the word of the Lord Jesus, both Jews and Greeks.
The Word of the Lord Jesus IS the Acts 2:38 message:
Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you
in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive
the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Acts 2:39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to
all that are afar off, [even] as many as the Lord our God shall call.
Notice carefully, please, that the doctrine that Paul referred to in Acts 19:10 as "the word of the Lord Jesus" was the Acts 2:38 salvation plan. Backing up a few verses we see that Paul founded the Ephesian Church on the "word of the Lord Jesus". See how they OBEYED Acts 2:38:
Acts 19:2 He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye
believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether
there be any Holy Ghost.
Acts 19:3 And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And
they said, Unto John's baptism.
Acts 19:4 Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of
repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him
which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.
Acts 19:5 When they heard [this], they were baptized in the name of
the Lord Jesus.
Acts 19:6 And when Paul had laid [his] hands upon them, the Holy Ghost
came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.
Galatians 3:27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
Through Jesus name baptism, one "puts on Christ" or the "Son". Jesus name water baptism IS the re-birth of flesh that Jesus referred to in John 3:5.
John 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and [of] the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
Notice that the Acts 2:38 salvation (referred to as "the word of the Lord Jesus" in Acts 19:10) contains BOTH the elements "water" and "Spirit", which are BOTH essential for salvation.
John 4:24 God [is] a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship [him] in spirit and in truth.
God the Father is the Spirit that came to earth in the form of the Lord Jesus Christ, or the "Son of man".
1 Tim 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.
Look at this next verse, note that the Spirit of God IS the Spirit of Christ.
Rom 8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
God the Father is a Spirit (remember John 4:24). God is holy! God is a "Holy Spirit". The Spirit of God IS the Spirit of Christ IS the Holy Spirit.
Those who obey (receive) Acts 2:38 receive the 'Son' (the flesh) AND the "Father" (the Spirit, remember, that sent forth His flesh).
Luke 9:48 And said unto them, Whosoever shall receive this child in my name receiveth me: and whosoever shall receive me receiveth him that sent me: for he that is least among you all, the same shall be great.
The Spirit of truth was dwelling WITH them in the flesh body of the Lord Jesus Christ BECAUSE: The Spirit of Truth IS the Spirit of Christ IS the Spirit of God IS the Holy Spirit (AKA the "Holy Ghost"). Yes, ONE God, and ONE ONLY!
John 14:17 [Even] the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
Jesus said that HE was dwelling with them and that He would be IN THEM.
When a person receives the Holy Ghost speaking in tongues, they receive the Spirit of God the Father, which IS the Spirit of Christ. When a person is baptised in Jesus name they "put on Christ", they put on "the Son".
Gal 3:27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
II John 1:9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.
Those who reject Acts 2:38 salvation (the doctrine of Christ) reject BOTH the Spirit (Father) and flesh (Son) of the ONE GOD named Jesus.
