There are, of course, many instructions in the New Testament. It is important to know which ones are there to help a person become a Christian and which ones are there to help one who has obeyed the former, to remain a Christian.
In a nutshell, in the book of Acts we discover how to become a Christian and in the epistles (letters to Acts 2:38 Christians) we discover how to "remain" Christian.
I will dwell on issues related to becoming a real Christian that are directly opposed to the polytheistic concepts of trinitarianism.
Mark 12:28 And one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, Which is the first commandment of all? Mark 12:29 And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments [is], Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:
** Many teach that it doesn't matter if you believe in three lords **
Mark 12:30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this [is] the first commandment.
Hear that God is only one "person" and love Him (not them) with all your heart. Then we see a dire warning against trinitarianism.
Colossians 2:8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and
vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the
world, and not after Christ.
Colossians 2:9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead
bodily.
Colossians 2:10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all
principality and power:
Mark 14:62 And Jesus said, I am: and ye shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.
Right hand is used throughout the Bible to symbolize power. Right hand does not mean a big ole arm hanging out of the sky.
John 4:26 Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am [he].
John 8:58 Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.
Exodus 3:14 And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.
There is only one "I AM". "I AM" is not three separate persons in a god squad and as stated above, we are commanded to know that.
John 14:9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou [then], Shew us the Father?
Jesus declares Himself.
John 14:9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou [then], Shew us the Father?
Jesus also declares that those who don't realize that He is the Father, don't really know Him at all.
Jude 1:17 But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before
of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ;
Jude 1:18 How that they told you there should be mockers in the last
time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts.
Jude 1:19 These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not
the Spirit.
Jude 1:20 But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy
faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,
Jude 1:21 Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of
our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
Jude 1:22 And of some have compassion, making a difference:
Jude 1:23 And others save with fear, pulling [them] out of the fire;
hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.
Jude 1:24 Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to
present [you] faultless before the presence of his glory with
exceeding joy,
Jude 1:25 To the only wise God our Saviour, [be] glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and for ever. Amen. There is only On
e wise God, the Saviour, Jesus Christ, God manifest in the flesh.
Isaiah 43:11 I, [even] I, [am] the LORD; and beside me [there is] no saviour.
Jesus (the only Saviour) is the individual speaking in the verse above.
Isaiah 45:21 Tell ye, and bring [them] near; yea, let them take counsel together: who hath declared this from ancient time? [who] hath told it from that time? [have] not I the LORD? and [there is] no God else beside me; a just God and a Saviour; [there is] none beside me.
Jesus (the only Saviour) is the individual speaking in the verse above.
Hosea 13:4 Yet I [am] the LORD thy God from the land of Egypt, and thou shalt know no god but me: for [there is] no saviour beside me.
Jesus (the only Saviour) is the individual speaking in the verse above.
Luke 2:11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.
So, you see, the trinitarian breaks the first of all the commandments because they teach a god squad of three separate persons. In trinity, God the Father and the "saviour" are two separate persons.
